For Tennessee marriage licenses, there’s no waiting period, and no appointment needed. You can actually apply, pick it up, and get married the same day, Monday through Saturday. After you receive it, you have 30 days to have your ceremony before it expires. As much as we at Effortless Elopements would love to take care of the paperwork for you, you must go in person and show ID and prove it’s really you that wants to get married. IF you’ve been married before, you’ll also need your divorce decree.
